Updated project 5 poster series

Final Logo

High Country Community Health is largely based upon collaboration by many different people and organizations in Boone. They work together to create a place where anyone (even the uninsured) in the High Country Community can go to receive medical care, all based on an affordable sliding fee scale.

I created the logo with four parts that work together to make a whole. They create a dynamic, energy-filled version of the medical cross so that people are aware it is a medical facility and not just a health organization. Rounded corners of the logo icon mimic the text in the logo so that there is not a disconnect. The use of a serif font with a sans serif is to give the idea of professionalism (sans serif) with a down-to-earth and inviting community (serif).

Project 5

This is a poster series of 11 by 17 in to go in the waiting rooms at the Avery and Watauga clinics to help inform the patients. Research shows that 85% of those in waiting rooms notice the posters and read them, so it is a perfect way to inform.
